a coastal cottage

i'm very lucky to have a project featured in this month's coastal living magazine.  i worked with a family who lives here in raleigh on their new beach house at kiawah island, south carolina, and i believe i used just the right amount of restraint when adding some punch and personality to this cozy cottage.  yal know how i can go a little wild with the patterns and colors -- but in this space, i was very purposeful about creating a comfy getaway that was livable, and just a little loud.  check out the february issue of the mag for more pics.

thanks to my sweet friend haskell harris for these photos, and for producing the story
