i know because our neighbor (who is never home!) has the motherload of bushes, and i've had my eye on the blooms all week - monitoring the situation (he's never home!).

i know i've told you this story. in 17 years with my boyfriend/husband, the only purchase he ever questioned was the $8 a stem peonies i purchased a few years ago. that one little bouquet was gorge and worth it. he never even questioned the 5 digit home purchases (in one month) under furbish's tutelage, just the damn peonies.

I've been stalking my M-I-L's hydrangeas. Soon as she's not looking, I'm cutting the brightest blue ones they have.
Peonies= my absolute FAVE of all time! I actually just planted some at our new house and I am counting down the days until they bloom. It doesn't matter if they are expensive, it is WORTH every penny!!

love love love peonies. i waited 3 years for my peony bush to bloom in seattle. it did and it was gorgeous... and then we moved to dallas 2 months later. ugh.

My favorite, and thanks for the report: They're usually ready Mother's Day weekend and I was wondering if they'd be ahead of schedule, like everything else.

My favorites! I get so pumped for peony season, also love the cherry blossom season!
I live in Australia and our Peony season is in Dec and Jan....so far away but I have known for a long time that I will be getting married in those months.
Where can you buy them for $7 a bouquet?! I am totally against purchasing "stolen goods". EXCEPTION: peonies. :)
