i know because our neighbor (who is never home!) has the motherload of bushes, and i've had my eye on the blooms all week - monitoring the situation (he's never home!).

  1. So excited! My one regret, almost a year later, is that I got married just a smidge post-peony season.

    Ruffle-y fluff-ley goodness.

  2. My most favorite time of the year !!!

  3. My peony bushes are loaded with buds this year. Can't wait for the blooming to start'

  4. i know i've told you this story. in 17 years with my boyfriend/husband, the only purchase he ever questioned was the $8 a stem peonies i purchased a few years ago. that one little bouquet was gorge and worth it. he never even questioned the 5 digit home purchases (in one month) under furbish's tutelage, just the damn peonies.

  5. Love it! I'm sure your neighbor won't mind!

  6. LOL - i love a good heady peony (that's what she said).

I've been stalking my M-I-L's hydrangeas. Soon as she's not looking, I'm cutting the brightest blue ones they have.

  7. Peonies= my absolute FAVE of all time! I actually just planted some at our new house and I am counting down the days until they bloom. It doesn't matter if they are expensive, it is WORTH every penny!!

  8. Peonies are so pretty! I love all the pictures, it makes me so excited to have fresh flowers in my home again.

  9. love love love peonies. i waited 3 years for my peony bush to bloom in seattle. it did and it was gorgeous... and then we moved to dallas 2 months later. ugh.

  10. I'm getting the impression that you really, really love Peonies...

  11. My favorite, and thanks for the report: They're usually ready Mother's Day weekend and I was wondering if they'd be ahead of schedule, like everything else.

  12. FABULOUS post!!! Gorgeous peonies! Happy Flowers, Table/Vignette inspiration... an all around out of the park post! Bon Weekend!

    Regards, Whitley

  13. Ha! Are you gonna leave money on his doorstep?

(I'll have to wait til mine blooms next month)

  14. My favorites! I get so pumped for peony season, also love the cherry blossom season!

  15. I live in Australia and our Peony season is in Dec and Jan....so far away but I have known for a long time that I will be getting married in those months.

  16. Where can you buy them for $7 a bouquet?! I am totally against purchasing "stolen goods". EXCEPTION: peonies. :)

  17. I can't wait! Mine peony bushes are a little behind but will surely be worth the wait. Lovely images!

  18. These pictures literally made my heart skip a beat! I LOVE peonies! I've even trained my 3 boys (ages- twins, 5 and little one 3.5) that mommy's fav flowers are PEONIES! Thanks for sharing these perfect photos of the perfect flower!

  19. i can't wait until the peonies in my front yard start to bloom!

  20. Last autumn I here seriously needed to drop extra fat. Nothing aided me. After really long quest I discovered the therapy that matched me most. You website may examine it.
