here's how LA went

stay with me now - this is the unabridged version.
photo(148)
we stayed at the andaz in west hollywood which was in a perfect spot and had a lovely restaurant that served bowls and bowls of butter with breakfast. loved the marble, green leather, sleek chrome and light everywhere.

photo(149)
we shopped the design district, where every store was full of fantastic finds like this score.

photo(150)
spotted at the same store (which was the one in MDD where mary mcd tried to steal the phone bag). thought the chair was very mary as well.

photo(151)
crazy bird chair. it had 5 different bird fabrics on it. (and your paule, bailey! - see in the corners?)

photo(152)
mecox garden was my fave and it didn't hurt they were having margarita friday with a frozen margarita machine (filed this away as a TO DO at furbdeux)

photo(153)
todd romano's store was perfection

photo(154)
in every way

photo(155)
met kristin buckingham and her fancy etagere. she told us she'd just worked out with richard simmons the night before and i decided i enjoyed her a lot.

photo(156)
picked up some fabric samples at scalamandre and got really excited about what i can put this gem on at furbdeux.

photo(157)
another fave was hollywood at home

photo(158)
photo(159)
oh the pink lamp. oh.

photo(177)
the pool at the andaz worked out just fine.

photo(161)
across the street was the super swanky sunset tower. look at those windows.

photo(162)
the pool was oh-so-hollywood.

photo(163)
there were pink and orange flowers everywhere. even the foliage was color blocking.

photo(164)
we had lunch at bottega louie thanks to emily's suggestion. the restaurant was gorgeous but the real star was the bakery counter.

photo(165)
photo(166)
photo(176)
macaroons so pretty i had to buy a box. and eat them all.

photo(167)
speaking of, this was lunch most days

photo(168)
and this was the after dinner show

photo(169)
we cocktailed at the standard hotel, and look how casual we were about it.

photo(174)
the lobby and it's ligne rosets. so california cool

photo(175)
10 ft. chloe and i caught up at the opening ceremony store

photo(170)
driving down the pacific coast highway to malibu

photo(173)
the view was amazing. water all around. furbpartIII must be in malibu

photo(171)
here's the part where keila gave up. we took the red eye and sleeping for me was difficult because there was a cat in front of me who meowed the ENTIRE flight. meow.

photo(172)
back to work today. shipping shipping shipping all day long.

i think we accomplished everything we needed to - so much inspiration for my new space, a real donkey of a time with friends, including our new one amber!, and learning the dance to mariah's dreamlover.

I want to go on a trip with you and NO and Keila. Nick is just about the cutest thing ever in those tight white jeans, suede mocs and seersucker blazer. So fun, yall look fab and chic and I want in on the furb fam. I love Mariah too. and love your ON cover up, I've got the same one and have been wearing it as a shirt since my almost 5mo preg self can't fit in anything else. You are kicking ass and taking names in your new career and I'm majorly impressed/inspired - ;)

I see! I see! I had a dream last night where I basically was the Lion from WOZ when he wears that long emerald carpet as a cape singing "if I were king of the forrest" but I was wearing my yardages of the paule. I was stunning.
I am also on a lot of vicodin after my csection, so that might be a part of that as well.

ummmm, I must have missed your call when you thought to yourself " Hey we need to call Amber ASAP and invite her to shake her front fanny to early 90's pop jams with us akwardly in our hotel room"

my feelings are only slightly bruised. I'll get over it.

I was staying at the Andaz at the same time. I can't believe I missed an opportunity to stalk one of my favorite bloggers as she blazed a trail through one of my favorite cities!
