the things i've seen

just got back from a long weekend in nyc.
shoes at anthro i left there, but wish i brought them home with me.
a few rugs that i made sure came home with me
the view from the mandarin oriental bar
i wanted these

and equally as exciting, i came home to a pair of these, new at the store this morning
this new bench, which is made from a carpet i picked up at the flea market last time i was in nyc
love, especially paired with the spot sofa
yummy new piece of art
and the best of all - approval from my client to go ahead with this plan for her office! check out that redonkeylous wallpaper

Shut up with those chairs. They are lovely. I am still in love with the spot sofa. And I know it's not the same as buying them in NYC, but good thing there's an Anthro in Durham. I say you get them.

We missed you! Thanks for the eye candy!!!
I've been wanting to cover a large ottoman with a kilim style rug for a while now. I think it would be beautiful and functional in a library.

Did you get those rugs at Anthro too? I have one almost identical to that orangey-pink one that I picked up on my travels, which I LOVE, but I'm struggling to find a way to decorate around it that isn't overly feminine. Can't wait to see what you do with them!!

The Anthro shoe--if you look at it just right, as I scrolled down the page, it looks like a stuffed animal dog terrier--the terrier with the beard, I forget the breed name. I know, it's crazy, but sometimes you see something in a way it wasn't intended and then the correct way comes to fore. Anyway, I just found your blog and the name is wonderful. I'm a Carolina boy myself, so I hear the voice when I read the name.
