here's a bit i'll share

fried cilantro.  it's the jam

heat up oil, drop the cilantro in, stalk and all, let it sit maybe 45 seconds (you'll know when it looks crispy, not saggy), dry it on a paper towel, salt a bit, and then NOMNOMNOM.

it's delicious on rice and fish.

after trudging around for hours at highpoint feeling uninspired, we happened into the magical fairyland of lily pulitizer's brand new furniture line.  i was in my happy place.










it was the perfect match of dorothy draper meets the sorority house meets jonathan adler meets delight.

sailing

brian and i went sailing for our 5 year anniversary. we started in little washington, sailed down the pamlico river, and over to ocracoke island. 4 days is a long time to be on a boat. rowdy didn't go. no dogs.  just brian.  and me.  that's all.

brian meares, who seemed thoroughly entertained the entire time due to the fact he could look somewhere and think, 'huh. look at that. wonder why it's like that?" and then spend the next two hours contemplating why.


i, on the other hand wasn't as easily amused.

then came home to see her big old pregnant self in lonny (great great apartment)
