monograms
i was browsing through the archives over at stylecourt, trying to find inspiration for... life, and i stopped at this image.
what an unexpected place for a monogram!
it makes me think i'll sew up a round little cushion for the seat of my fan chair, and have my local monogrammer spice it up.
ps. you know how you stare at a word too long and it starts to make no sense? i just thought i was talking about mammograms, and i got worried and googled it. sonogram is another word that's much like monogram, but isn't. deep.

Those always make me think "asshole target".
and by that i mean a literal target for your butt, not talking about assholes as in people.
I agree-- leave the monograms on the back of the chair- facing either way- but on the seat--- well I concur with Leigh--- just a tad too much symbolism-- the wrong way!

Have to agree about the ass-anxiety. I don't want to sit on a monogram. Too much like sitting on a stain, or an...object.
like this idea...but maybe it would be better if it were a larger monogram.
if my rump could go around leaving monogram imprints on anything it wanted, nothing would be safe. just saying.
that's such a great idea. i'm actually thinking of buying this hollywood regency style chair: http://nanabanana.typepad.com/nana_banana/2009/08/anthropologie-on-an-ikea-budget.html. a monogrammed seat cushion would look perfect on it!
