getting to know me

By 6/28/2009

i sleep with
1) a camel
2) a blanket

we have a cleaning lady who comes ere.so.often, and without fail, she carefully (i assume) wraps my blanket around my camel like a cape, and rests his head on a pillow.

  2. Adorable! I used to have a teddy named Larry, but the kids absconded with him long ago.

  3. Our cleaning lady (when I lived with my parents) used to do the very same thing!

I STILL sleep with my Teddy (don't tell anyone) and most embarrassingly, he also came with us on our Honeymoon (basically, I'm a five-yr-old) and every single day when we'd come back to our various hotels, he'd be laying with his legs crossed and his arms behind his head as he lounged against a pillow. When they got bored of doing that, they'd roll up the towels to use as props, and my favorite was when they made a towel birthday cake (complete with candle and "flame") and put it on his lap.

    Hilarious.

  6. Jessie- My stuffed lamb, Priscilla, has visited many a nice hotel with us, and the staffs have done the same things! They must find it hilarious to discover a stuffed animal when there are no kids around.

Incidentally, Priscilla has a way of landing in funny positions by accident. My favorite was a couple weeks ago, when I folded back the duvet and she got caught in it, and ended up lying flat on her back with her feet perched on the comforter, for all the world looking like she was putting her feet up for a little nap.

    I make no apologies.
